Mission
Perimeter College at Georgia State University is the gateway to higher education offering more than thirty academic pathways at the two-year college level across multiple campuses in the Atlanta metro area and online. The Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides Perimeter students with the mindset and experiences for success in the global workforce. The center provides the foundation for lifelong learning and career advancement, ultimately contributing to Georgia State University’s commitment to tackling the challenges of an urbanizing nation and world.
Strategic Plan
Goal 1: Become the premier comprehensive resource center for innovation, entrepreneurship, and career pathways at Perimeter College.
- Establish a user-friendly online platform and physical space serving as a one-stop shop for students, faculty/staff, and alumni to access resources, services, and guidance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive outreach strategy to promote the center’s offerings and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain an online database showcasing student and alumni profiles, skills, and accomplishments, facilitating connections with potential employers.
Goal 2: Serve as the primary bridge connecting external partners with Perimeter students, faculty, and alumni to create collaborative opportunities that address societal needs and drive economic growth.
- Establish strategic partnerships with relevant industry leaders and government agencies to create internship, research, and professional experiences for students and faculty.
- Implement a streamlined process for external recruiters and employers to connect with students and alumni.
- Organize industry-specific career fairs and networking events fostering collaboration and talent acquisition.
Goal 3: Cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the campus community.
- Facilitate the creation and growth of student-led ventures through mentorship, incubation services, and access to funding resources.
- Nurture student participation in external competitions and startup accelerators, fostering collaboration and risk-taking.
- Develop and host cutting-edge workshops, seminars, and expositions featuring guest speakers from industry and academia, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Organize campus-wide events celebrating entrepreneurial successes and showcasing student creativity and innovation.

- Develop key performance indicators to track the success of various programs and initiatives.
