Born in Atlanta, Georgia, raised in Birmingham Alabama, BS from UGA, Redcoat Band and Jazz Ensemble four years; MD degree from MCG, Residency at MCG in Orthopedic Surgery, Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery and Asst Professor @UAB. Orthopedic Surgeon by training, He was an Asst Professor in the Biology Department at Kennesaw State University and taught Anatomy and Physiology as well as the Wellstar School of Nursing at KSU and taught Pathophysiology in their Graduate Nursing program. Also an assistant professor at Georgia Highlands College. Dr Jones is now retired from private practice as an orthopedic and hand surgeon and is playing around north Georgia, a Jazz player since the 4th grade, playing sax and clarinet during all of this. He plays in several big bands around Atlanta as well as jazz combos and some rock horn bands.
