Paris has been an absolutely amazing experience and I would not give up that experience for anything in the world. It was such an interesting time being dropped into a different culture for a little over a week! I’ve noticed that sitting down and eating it more common here. There are more full meal orders and outside seating for people to enjoy the sounds of nature – a bit of Romanticism showing through? I also want to take into account the amazing architecture around Paris.
Beautiful works of art that you don’t need to go into a museum to see. It was absolutely lovely to walk around and get lost between these buildings. Not only that, but the amazing modern art work on some of these buildings were quite beautiful as well!
Though many might not be so thrilled about these pieces, I find them eye-catching. I love being able to behold the beauty of the building and also the smaller pieces of art that adornes its walls. This might be an assumption, but art really does seem to be an important aspect of French culture. There are a multitude of museums just within Paris alone – matter how small or large. There are the more known ones such as the D’orsay, Lovure and MOMA but also smaller ones like the museum of Eugene DeLecroix, languages and history of medicine. Art evelopes French culture in its museums and architecture. The amazing pieces left on the buildings of Paris only add to that collection of art. When people can’t afford to go into museums, they can still see magnificant works by walking through the city.
Thanks for sharing these terrific photos, Ness. The collection of street art is especially great. I’m glad–and not surprised–that you had a good experience in Paris. –Dr. Dobranski
