Weekly Schedule Reflection

After outlining my daily schedule for 2 days I was surprised with what I discovered. My 2 biggest challenges are moderating the time I spend on Netflix and finding time to study. I was unaware of how often I watch Netflix. I spend an embarrassing long among of time just in the bed look for something to watch. I also noticed a correlation between watching Netflix in the morning and tardiness to class. I will have to cut Netflix out of my morning routine and see if it can improve my punctuality to class. My school work schedule is not consistent either. At first glance I wanted to set aside a study block where I would review my work at same time everyday. Then I realized just how scattered my school work is. I find it more beneficial to do my work as I get to it, instead of attempting to sit down for four hours straight and do it. I have never been one to miss assignments or turn in late work so for me I feel that I am responsible enough to get my work done throughout the day. Also I am aware of just how distractible I am; a trait that would be exasperated by a never ending study block. The weekly schedule also gave me a great idea on how to avoid procrastination. I will create a weekly schedule outlining the assignments due for that particular week. This will help cut down on deadline confusion and help me to a lot my time appropriately. My priorities each day include getting to class on time, finishing all assignments to the best of my abilities, finding time for school and for social activities, and finally finding a little time each day for me. Below are my five goals for the next 4 years, a SMART goal reflection denoting how I plan to achieve my goal of attending Howard University, a 4 year timeline explaining how I will achieve my goal in greater detail, and finally my two 24 schedules as an attachment:

Goals For The Next Four Years:

– Get Involved: I believe that getting involved on campus is a great way to make friends, use leisure time in positive way, and make a real difference on campus and in my community.

– Receive a 4.0 Every Semester: It is a difficult task, but I am up for the challenge. I can reach this goal by studying hard, visiting my teachers during office hours, and completing all of my work on to time and to the best of my ability.

– Earn a scholarship: My first choice for school was Howard University, but due to the cost of attendance I was not able to go. This goal is very important to me and I hope that over the course of the next two years I can receive enough scholarship money to attend.

– Transfer: Transfer to Howard University.

– Graduate with honors: I want to graduate Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or even Summa Cum Laude!
