For my self-portrait, I sketched out my face first in my sketchbook so that I could figure out the placements for my portrait + what I wanted to incorporate and what I didn’t.

Here’s my canvas that I cut out from a poster. I accidentally spilled paint on it, so that’s where the marks come from. lol

Then, I gathered my materials. I used printer paper that I previously painted on, washi tape, magazine papers with nature (trees, branches, grass, flowers, water), KitKat wrappers, labels from a bagel and bread plastic bag, and a sticker cover from a gum box. I didn’t put this in the photo, but I also used a Styrofoam plate that I previously painted on as well.

After cutting out different shapes and glueing some of them together, I came out with this:

I glued down the face shape before anything.

And this is the finished product!
