INK

For Project 4, we worked with ink/ink wash, charcoal, and Conte crayon. I think this was the easiest project for me. I liked the stippling and hatch/cross-hatch a lot; I started using it a bit in my own art and I enjoyed how it came out after practicing with it. As for the compressed charcoal and Conte crayon, I think that if I get the hang of using them that I will begin to like them, but currently I hate them! They’re difficult for me to use! The inking with the brush and wash is probably my favourite. I found the process relaxing and enjoyable. My problem with the ink wash is again with the value though. I worried more about the lining of the object rather than the shadows and lighting.
