Hello to all. My name is Mignon Smith; first name pronounced the same as the infamous steak dinner, Filet Mignon, just without the “Filet.”

First, I am a dedicated mom of two amazing children and second an artist. I have lived in a few places most notably Panama and Mississippi before moving to Georgia 23 years ago. My earliest memories of my interest in art was watching my brother draw and rummaging through his desk looking at his drawings and art supplies. I still have the yellow ochre mechanical pencil I begged him to give me when we were kids.
My favorite medium to work with is watercolor and occasionally journaling markers. While I do have strong drawing skills, occasionally I enjoy the smooth, butter-like feel of oil paints and its versatility.

With every piece of work I complete and regardless of the medium used; I hope to share a little piece of me.
