Linoleum cut on mixed media paper with hand altering

Continuing with my theme of human’s interactions with animals, I based this project on the rats trained to find landmines. Though landmines look vastly different from this, I chose to use a more cartoonish bomb because they are easily recognizable and thought the heavy positive space would offset the negative and compliment the composition. While the first two are my serious prints, the third I made because I had extra ink and chose to experiment with mixing the ink in the bomb and adding more color where it was usually empty.
