For this project, I used a crow quill pen, Micron pens, and ink on paper. The purpose was to learn different types of shading techniques like hatching, cross-hatching, and stippling.
I used stippling for the shadows that objects cast on the ground, but ink for the shading of the objects.
For this drawing, I used a Micron brush pen for the outlines and major designs, and smaller Microns for the sheets and shading.
Here I used a brush pen for the Switch and carpet texture, fine Microns for the shading on the carpet, and a round brush and ink for the cloth under the Switch.
This was the only drawing for which I had a crow quill pen available to me. I used it to draw the chrysanthemum and a flat brush to paint Ivory black on top and Mars black on the bottom.
