recently, some of my friends started to become vegetarians. I didn’t bother them much because I believe everyone has their own way to live. Everything was going well until one of them pointed out that we shouldn’t use and eat anything derive from animal. I am shocked when I heard it. For me, a meet eater, I can barely hang out with people who don’t eat meet, but with vegan? The answer is NO. There are a lot of inconvenience for me to hang out with vegans.
I am a big fan of hot pot. Basically I invite my friends to my home to eat hotpot twice a week. Some of them are meet eater like me and some of them are vegetarian who only eats veggies and tofu. We can get alone with that, but with vegans, there is no way we can eat on a same table. The broth for the hotpot is made of chicken or beef, the sauce we use is based on mammal animals. Also, sometime when we are planning to have dinner together with vegans, we have to take care of many stuff, not many restaurant have the right food for vegans.
I’ve done some researches for advantages and disadvantages of being a vegan. Vegans believe every nutrition that human needs can be absolve from the plants so therefore human does not have to kill animals in order to feed ourselves. Firstly I would not refute the idea that vegan suggest, however, the nutrition from plants do supply our human being, but it do not work as well as product from animals. Another concept would be brought out is about human’s weight. Some people believe that less weight is good, IT IS WRONG. The appropriate weight is health. Human’s weight based on their eating patterns and mostly is their gene. Some can eat ton of food but can still keep a slim body, but some can gain a lot of weight by eating only a few high energy food.
A research had claimed that people who do not consume animal made product lose 7 pounds rather than people who do consume animal product a year. To those people who have bad digestion, being vegan would be a terrible idea. They did lose weight to let them look more fancier but the cost is their health. If there are something happened to them, they would not have enough nutrition in their body to support them.
Milk and Cheese are the most important daily food in our life. They become the most favorite food for reasons. They are not only nutritive but also delicious and mostly convenience. when people wake up in a week day, a home made sandwich or cereal is the best choice for them to be breakfast. Unfortunately, Vegans will not feel it.
