Biography

As a senior at Georgia State University, I anxiously anticipate graduating this May with a bachelor degree in English, and a concentration of Advanced Rhetoric and Composition.

With a GPA of 4.13, I am working toward the honor of Graduation with Distinction. Other honors I have earned during my studies include:

  • Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society
  • Golden Key Honors Society.
  • Sigma Tau Delta Honors Society.
  • English Department Ambassador.
  • Frantz Fanon Book Award Scholarship.
  • President’s List Award.
  • 2014 Leadership Conclave participant.
  • Intern at Five Points literary magazine.

Following graduation, I plan to create a career as a professional business writer, specializing in proposal and grant writing.

Besides being a motivated student, I am the mother of a precocious three-year-old little girl. Each afternoon and evening, I work as a nanny for two local families. I practice yoga and love being outdoors. My passions include reading and traveling.

Before attending Georgia State University I received my associate degree in English from Atlanta Metropolitan State College, worked and studied at John C. Campbell Folk School, labored as a flight attendant, lived on an island, and traveled internationally.
