I am an award-winning political science lecturer at the United States’ highest ranked public university for undergraduate education. My expertise is in American politics, effective uses of educational technology, and best practices in post-secondary civic education. I am the author of an innovative digital interactive American Government textbook that facilitates transformative civic educational experiences for college students. My research seeks best practices in college teaching for a healthier democracy and facilitating student success for *all* students regardless of background or current circumstances. To that end, I develop and conduct quantitative assessments of innovative curricular interventions while coordinating the teaching of 5,500+ students per year in our undergraduate Introduction to American Government course. I also mentor graduate student instructors, advise various student groups, and teach upper-level courses on American Constitutional Law and Social Science Research Methods.
