Abuse In Child Care Settings

“With so many dual-income households and single parents, many parents have no other choice but to entrust their children in someone else’s care. Unfortunately, not all daycare facilities provide safe and nurturing care for young children, and when neglect or child abuse threatens the health and safety of a child, their parents may have the legal right to pursue damages in a lawsuit.

Parents have a duty to support and care for their young children, if caring for their children properly requires the parents to put their children in daycare, then they do what they have to do. The majority of daycares do their best to provide a safe and nurturing environment for infants and children; however, there is that minority that provides the opposite and actually places small children in serious danger.

Child abuse, neglect, and molestation are a horrific thought to imagine, especially if it involves your own child, but unfortunately, it is a harsh reality. Whenever parents place their child in the care of anyone but themselves or a family member, they are assuming a risk. This is especially the case when they entrust strangers to care for their young children.”
