How can someone use Grit?

How can someone use grit in their life?

A person can learn a lot about themselves in their everyday life if they just know the right questions to ask. Being self-aware about work ethic is one of the keys to success. One may ask themselves “Do I finish what I start?” or “Do I put enough effort into my day? Have I been productive?”. This can also be specific to different domains like sports and work. Grit can be tested on anything that requires effort. Occupations like Doctors and app developers need grit to apply their best efforts to every individual challenge. Though it doesn’t come easy, it can still help you develop in challenges and failures. Grit can be used to evolve your resilience and goals.

Examples of ways someone can use grit:

At school: A student can set a goal that they want to get into a great college. They can set the goal of doing after-school sports, volunteering, and getting good grades in high school. These goals need to have a sense of grit in the student in order for them to be accomplished. They can use grit by specifying how they will get to each goal they want to achieve.

In college: A student may want to set themselves out from other students in college. The student may keep getting bad grades in the semester but with grit, they can aspire to do better every time. Even if it requires them to fail quizzes over and over, they still try harder each time. After improving each time they would be able to show that even though they might have not been doing well in the beginning, they are improving themselves and their hard work and grades showcase that.

In work: A business owner needs to have grit when starting their company because there are many risks associated with being an entrepreneur. If their business starts losing money, they should not quit. With grit, they would fail but get back up again and try harder in order to get their business to start making profits again.
