This project was all about playing with shapes. We had to draw different geometric forms (I chose stars, hourglasses, and moons) and strategically arrange them so they overlapped, the challenge was, that wherever the shapes crossed paths, the image got inverted. The idea behind it was to dive into the visual dynamics of shapes – to understand how they interact when they overlap. The process was pretty straightforward. I started by experimenting with drawing various geometric shapes using pencils and sketching paper. Then, the fun part – creating overlapping areas and observing how the inversion played out visually. It was like a little optical illusion experiment, I found it really difficult but super satisfying. We also got to play around with different compositions and arrangements to see how that affected the overall image. I ended up with this one because I liked the asymmetry and thought it added a lot of interest.
