In preparation of the final project, a sequential narrative, I used different media and perspectives and completed three drawings that each may serve as inspiration.
Glen – red and white pencil on tan paper. 9”x12”
I truly enjoyed using this very limited palette and was happily surprised by the end result. I used a private photo of a peaceful Irish landscape.
Paris Flower Shop – watercolor pencils on Bristol. 9”x12”
I like working with watercolor pencils (as does my granddaughter!) but need to use fewer colors.
Nova Scotia Meadow – pen and ink on Mixed Media paper. 14”x17”
One of my favorite photos and perspectives. It was the first time for me to work in pen and ink and I love the (to me unexpected) versatility of the medium.
