CDC!!!!

I decided to blog about Legionnaire’s disease because the exhibit itself really excited me and caught my interest. I know that back in Illinois there was a huge outbreak back in 2015 in a VA nursing that killed more than 14 people. I have always heard about the disease but never knew what causes it and why it was so deadly to the community. I discovered this microbe while visiting the Center for Disease Control (CDC). There I saw so many different microbes and learned so much about the history of public health around the world and in the country. There were exhibits that talked about the safety of water, AIDS, smoking, the outbreak of Legionnaire’s disease, etc. I think the exhibit that blew me away was the exhibit about the flu outbreak in the 1930s here in the country. I was truly amazed by this museum and cannot wait to return to the CDC to learn and explore more within this institution.
