How will your final grade be calculated?
A total number of points earned in the class through assignments, projects, participation, and an additional credit will be accumulated at the end of the semester and will be tallied and given a letter grade.
A-/A: major projects complete + 2,250-2,500 points
B-/B/B+: major projects complete + 2,000-2,249 points
C/C+: major projects complete + 1,400-1,999 points
Non-passing: one or more major projects incomplete, or fewer than 1,400 points total

What is the attendance policy?
Attendance is required. You will gain 20 points for each attendance and lose 20 points for each unexcused absence.
What are my office hours, and how do you make an appointment to see me outside of class?
Dr. Wharton’s office hours are 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. The best method of contact is emailing her at her GSU email address.

You can earn participation credit for completing all major projects as well as any additional work completed outside of class time that may attribute to your learning and understanding of the class (for example, completing a lynda.com tutorial and being able to show what you’ve learned).

How many points can you earn by participating in or organizing a study group session?
You can earn up to 25 points for participating in or organizing a study group session.
How can you be assured of earning an “A” in this course?
You will earn an “A” in this course if you receive between 2,250-2,500 points and you complete all major projects.
What are the minimum requirements for earning a passing grade of “C”?
You will receive a “C” in this course if you complete all the major projects and receive a total between 1,400-1,999 points.
What do you do if you’re not sure how to document your participation in order to earn points?
You should contact Dr. Wharton, but be advises that all participation points will be documented on your notebook on the class’ OneNote site.
