Blog Post 15 Youth In The Media

One day I was casually scrolling through my Instagram feed and noticed a picture of a young boy named Tanishq and a girl named Danielle, who has become famous due to her appearance on the Dr. Phil show. I was curious as to why the post had a both pictures of these young children. As I read the caption below the image, I was left very intrigued and thinking. The post had a caption say that Tanishq Abraham was a 13-year-old boy who has obtained three community college degrees. He has already been accepted to many universities in California. In the future, Tanishq is determined to study biomedical engineering and becoming a doctor, along with a medical researcher once he reaches the age 18. The caption continues now to introduce the young girl on the opposite side of America’s most famous child. Her name is Danielle Bregoli who appeared on the Dr. Phil show to receive help for her behavior. She has dropped out of school at the age of 13. Also, she has also had multiple encounters with the law enforcement due to her violent behavior. The caption continues to explain how this young girl as almost millions of followers on Instagram due to all of this fame she has received on the show and social media for her catchphrase “cashme outside how bow dah.”

The caption is concluded by the fact that whenever people wish to question why America is in decline, we should keep in mind this photo and the young generation that is being praised or even noticed in the media today. It also mentions how we should bear in mind that many of these millions who follow Danielle are the ones who vote and decide who our current leaders are. After reading this, I was shocked by the truth that was written in the post. I honestly know who Danielle is but don’t have a clue who is Tanishq. In society today we choose what is newsworthy and what isn’t. Many people are giving attention and importance to someone who dropped out of school and exhibit bad behaviors, whereas there is an intelligent young boy who is unnoticed trying to achieve something that many of us can’t begin to accomplish. We should all try not to be ignorant of what we are promoting for youths and instead promote the importance of having a good education and the right behavior of young people in our generation.
