In our recent SI session, Jessie asked us what our last dream was. I always have dreams, but for some reason remembering my last dream was difficult, even though I had one the night before. I decided to think about an important dream that I can remember. I picked the dream I had about my two childhood friends and me in a huge toy store. We were all picking our toys and playing with them on the ground, and I was playing with my little pink Barbie car. This dream was very special to me because my childhood friends moved to Ohio so being able to see us young again and playing brought back some important memories. I later when on the website DreamMoods to figure out what this dream meant and it was quite surprising because some of it was true. It said that dreams about toys usually “symbolize childhood, domestic joy, and harmony.” The interpretation was right because the toys were a symbol of my childhood and the fun times I had with them. Although they aren’t with me, the memories we shared are still with me.

Also, the DreamMoods said that “You may be searching for the comfort and security of home.” I feel like this dream gave me some comfort because I was always happy and carefree when I was with them because we were always together no matter what. We were friends since we were like 5.  Later, when I transferred elementary schools, I attended with them. The best part about transferring schools and moving was that we were next door neighbors. Surprisingly the website said that “It also represents playful attitudes and your childish ways.” The interpretation was accurate. Although I am 19 years old and practically an adult, I still am childish at times and find myself like the five years old child I was before. DreamMoods accurately analyzed my dream the best way and managed to help me realize that maybe my childish ways may be a good thing and that I shouldn’t feel like its one of my bad qualities. I feel like this was an unusual experiment because I never knew that this one dream I remember the most had a significant meaning to it.
