Being one of the largest hospitals systems in the county Grady Memorial was first know as Grady Health. It first opened the front doors of It’s building on June 2nd, 1892 to serve the Atlanta public. It was the first ever seen in the city. It was name after Henry W Grady an Atlanta Journalism Constitution Editor.
It resides on the corner of Jesse Hill Jr. and Coca-Cola Place.In the 1880’s many people loved the idea of a public hospital in Atlanta. Fast-forward to the 2000 with over 1,000,000 visitors each year, Grady Memorial Hospital is never closed for business.
