The North Avenue Marta Station is an underground train station and bus transit located in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves the red and gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority rail system. The primary location is on the southern end of Midtown Atlanta and is the ninth-largest transit service system in the United States. The construction of the Marta Station began in 1978 and first opened in December 4, 1981. The MARTA rapid rail system that has about 47.6 miles of route and 38 rail stations located on four service lines: the red line, gold line, blue line, and the green line. Each of these lines coordinates to different locations. The entrance of the MARTA is basic and simple. It is an open area from both sides, which allow access for residents and visitors to efficiently enter the station. An open entrance is most convenient during busy hours when people are trying to enter and exit the station. The exterior o the Marta Station is constructed with white tile walls that are painted with murals of many different environmental factors. A professor of arts at Georgia State University, Gordon Anderson, built these murals of nature. An example of the murals can be found here, https://sites.gsu.edu/kpatel169/ 2016/02/08/passing-the-murals/. These murals set an atmosphere for the people passing by. It provides a cordial and interesting perception. They also set a harmonious mood that brings a cheerful tone for the area as public art when passengers are around. The style of the MARTA station is public and metropolitan. It is an urban area with gray and aged walls; the worn-down floors give an underground setting. The structure of the stations is sub-terrestrial and brimful. The train that transports is silver with back around the windows; the front and back of the train is black and white with a yellow and orange stripe going across. In order to enter the station, everyone must have a pass called a Breeze Card/Ticket loaded; the MARTA offers a variety of options for the residents and visitors from all around. Once they obtain a pass, residents or visitors must swipe their card in a machine to enter the area of transit. The video posted presents the outer sounds of the station; the noise of the buses, cars, and trains occur, https://sites.gsu.edu/kpatel169 /2016/02/08/video/. The sounds are loud, heavy and overflowing. The loud commotions are more excessive during busy hours. The station also makes numerous and constant announcements by a female vocal about the location they are reaching and the location they are currently at. These constant announcements are very beneficial to riders because they provide the necessary information for correct destination. The concrete hollow walls isolate the strong ground-base sounds so the urban area is not highly disturbed. When the train is near, there are perpetual movements that have frequencies of arousing vibrations that alert the passengers. The underground station is a great creation for the community that does not disrupt the residents and visitors. The MARTA is very helpful for the community because it is an accelerated beneficial method for transportation. For the diversity of the community, the MARTA is a useful system, which diverges to many locations.
