In the article, “His & Hers: Designing for a Post-Gender Society”, Suzanne Tick analyzes the issue of gender revolution. The expansion in science and technology has challenged the male and female roles. Masculine and feminine identities are becoming distinctive; the designers must accommodate to the change of social issue. Tick explains that males are dominant over the modern technology. This article interprets different models to present the diversity of individual personalities. Emma Watson’s speech on promoting the He for She movement had brought attention to feminism. The speech conjures men to append the purpose of gender parity all around the world. Tick also mentions the progressive approval of same-sex marriage. Women are more prominent in their work, the work is defined and demonstrates gender awareness. Through these creations, Tick expresses that the fashion and beauty field grasp the innovative trends wholeheartedly. Recently in the Fall 2015, Alexander Wang presented a masculine tailoring of a women’s coat with a militant look and Annemiek van der Beek’s makeup line, Primal Skin, is designed to attract male buyers. The gray coat characterizes a masculine look for women that construct a neutral view of fashion. The make-up provides a comforting exterior look for all genders.

The similarity and classifications between men and women are becoming more common. Gender is a topic that people are leaning towards avoiding; their identity is masked upon questioning. Schools are becoming more acceptable to the fact that children want an unspecified or change in gender. People tended to judge the transgender population but that is defied by the trans CEO of the United Therapeutic, Martine Rothblatt. Rothblatt is the highest-paid transgender women executive in the United States. In 1995, Rothblatt published a proclamation about the argument of sexual identities, “The Apartheld of Sex”. To keep a balance of comfort, corporations such as Google have created gender-neutral bathrooms so people are at ease. In order for these, unisex bathrooms to exist, designers must address the issue so workers can work together. The point of creating a separate bathroom for transgender people provides the equality amongst everyone for them Accommodation spreads all around, the designers must consider the disabilities and gender change in public areas and workplaces. Everyone should respect and help the diversity of the human population in all environmental situations so that people can embrace their identity. Tick explains how the world should be more appreciative of all kinds of human identities. There should be a neutral balance between the mindset of everyone.

In environmental conditions, the equity of living must come into consideration when constructing. In this article, Tick depicts the importance of the role of designers for the gender change in the population around the world. Designers should accept and layout equal innovations to keep a balance in amenity. The design of any structure should v a neutral outlook. Architectural designs portray a variety of aspects that define an overview of an individual’s belief. Equality is something that is lacking all around the world, but one by one the tenacity of the issue can decrease. The article targets a worldwide issue that has broadened and created controversy in gender specification.
