For our final project, we were asked to create a Sequential Narrative that included or referenced the project before this (3 Drawings). Within the requirements, we were also asked to include a power, and I chose the power of knowing your family history, as in the story, the main character tells their family story to her sister. In the story, I wanted to explore my family history when my grandma and her parents fled North Korea to live in South Korea during the early 1900s. Although inspired by a true story, everything in the story is fictional.
For our final project, we were asked to create a Sequential Narrative that included or referenced the project before this (3 Drawings). We asked to complete these narratives in at least 18 panels (which allowed inset panels). I chose to include my drawings as that was what I had in mind when completing 3 Drawings. I used mixed media and watercolor paper (at least 3” x 4”) for the background. With the characters (who were cutouts), I used an ink pen to outline and colored pencils to color on mixed media paper, and the speech bubbles were in pen on mixed media paper.
