Feminine Frailty: The Unseen Challenges of Women’s Health –
Engaging in the Armor Project provided me with valuable lessons in ideation and divergent thinking, enabling me to analyze facts and address significant social challenges. I discovered that many of these issues intersected, which added a layer of complexity to the selection process as I delved into the primary overarching concerns. Armed with a deeper understanding of these issues, I generated several conceptual sketches to refine my creative direction.
During this phase, my professor played a pivotal role in guiding me to critically evaluate these issues and explore effective ways to represent them within my armor design. I remained receptive to considering how my project could serve as a symbol of the diverse challenges women encounter in their healthcare journey while simultaneously advocating for the empowerment and resilience of women. This approach aimed not only to raise awareness but also to educate individuals on the strength and fortitude demonstrated by women in navigating these obstacles.
