The Inside/Out project ignited my fascination with abstract sculptures, particularly those fashioned from metals. Working with soap and clay during this endeavor provided a hands-on learning experience, allowing me to understand the materials’ properties and their response to pressure. I learned to manipulate the soap to create smoother edges and intricate textures, enhancing the depth of my creations.
Experimenting with soap and clay challenged me to push the boundaries of traditional techniques, resulting in innovative textures and forms. Each sculpture became a canvas for exploration, as I sought to harness the versatility of these materials to express my artistic vision. Through this process, I gained a deeper appreciation for the creative potential inherent in soap and clay, enriching my artistic practice and expanding my horizons.
