Ink and ink wash drawing showing one-point perspective. This scene is a place I lived for two years, the 400 block of Dudley Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Watercolor pencil drawing showing two-point perspective. This depicts Philadelphia’s 30th street station. I have a strong connection to and fond memories of this place, both early in life and also as a young adult.
Charcoal on ink-stained bristol board. This depicts the waterfall in Berlin’s Viktoria Park at night. I visited here one evening last summer late at night. The dark park gave way to a brilliant opening over the waterfall as the brightly lit buildings of Berlin shone through the blackness surrounding the trees. Unlike parks in the US, this park didn’t have much in the way of electric lights, so the contrast was stunning and made for a magical moment.
