Charcoal on paper

These are two charcoal drawings of still lifes that I set up myself, including the drapery and lighting source. It was our first big drawing assignment for Drawing I after doing all introductory exercises on shape, value and texture. With these still lifes I applied the fundamentals I learned, brought it all together with a strong composition, and demonstrated competent handling of the material on.
