An ink drawing of a cat standing in the cabbage patch of a farm where instead of cabbage, the plants have yielded small kittens.

For this illustration, I explored the use of various textures (fur, foliage, wood, stone) that work together in a cohesive narrative composition. As for the subject matter, I was inspired by the illustrations of Beatrix Potter and stories of small anthropomorphic animals who connect with nature and the world around them similar to how humans do it—standing upright, well dressed, and carrying themselves in a whimsical yet sophisticated manner.
