Robert walks into the room where the showcase is being held and sees multiple students presenting their projects. He walks through all the students, observing everything and then he sees a group of students hovering around this girl and her phone. He overhears the group telling the girl, “that’s dope”, “that’s fire”, and “is that a real artist?”

He walks over to where the group is. He was just going to glance and keep walking like he has been doing the whole time until, he hears the music that is playing.  The song sounds familiar. He looks at the phone screen over some guy’s shoulder and asks him, “hey is that the video to that song?” The guy shakes his head and says, “it’s a skit about the song.” Robert now intrigued walks over to the girl with the phone.

He introduces himself and she tells him her name is Jada. She explains her idea is for musical artist to promote their music via Instagram by posting skits that’s related to the content of their song. Instead of a music video, it’s a skit that goes on for a minute and 15 seconds. It uses the song topic for its plot and has the best of the song playing in the background. This way,  the songs are like chapters to a story and the musical project itself is like a soundtrack to it.

The artist she is using is a demo artist that she created and the songs are covers that she put together that sound like they could be on the same project to tell a story for the sake of her class project. Robert is amused and as an artist himself thinks this is a very creative and amazing idea.
