About me

I am an instructor of English (rhetoric, critical thinking, information literacy, and composition) at Georgia Gwinnett College and a PhD student at Georgia State University.

My areas of interest include the use of generative AI for writing and teaching, HCI, prison education, generalism, media literacy, and the Christian rhetoric of Augustine and Lewis. I am currently exploring generative AI technologies, how we interact with them, how we use them, and the history behind these mysterious machines that terrify, inspire, and perplex even the most brilliant of their human creators. From a broader scope, I am also interested in any rhetoric aimed at non-human audiences, things like talking to animals, praying to gods, and, of course, communication aimed at computer language programs.
