She’s Not the Only Thing thats Toxic

Gloria had most likely applied a gel called DSMO to cope with cancer pains, this gel would account for the “fruity-garlicky smell” as well as the oily sheen the medical staff observed. As Richard Stone from Discovery explains, DSMO gel is one oxygen atom away from a compound called dimethyl sulfone, the chemical found in excess during Gloria’s autopsy. The Livermore lab, a local lab in Riverside California, preformed a test where they applied oxygen to the DSMO gel, much like the oxygen mask that was administered to Gloria, and found it created dimethyl sulfone to the point where white crystals formed, similar to the crystals found in Gloria’s blood (Stone.) With this they proved how the dimethyl sulfone appeared. The problem is dimethyl sulfone is still a harmless chemical. However, if the compound broke down, possibly due to the electric shocks from the defibrillator, and combined with natural sulfate compounds in Gloria’s body, it could create dimethyl sulfate, a piousness gas that causes damages to the heart, liver and kidneys. The same conditions Gloria was admitted for. It can also cause paralysis, delirium, and convulsions much like the medical staff.
