Nature Inspired Land Art

It was required of us to use only objects directly from nature in order to create a piece of land art, which was inspired by the artist, Andy Goldsworthy. I decided to create art of a strand of yarn. The art piece is called “The Squirmer”. The idea is that loose yarn always tries to get away. I chose to illustrate loose yarn because I am always having to cut loose yarn away when I crochet and knit. I used dead pine needles for the body of the yarn and fallen green leaves that were from the tree for the highlight of the yarn. I enjoy the sight of my project and how fun it looks. I hope you guys enjoy it too!

From this angle you can see the actual body of the land art, while the other photos showed more of a flat sky view.
