Toothpicks, hard boiled egg, hot glue and hot glue gun
Design challenge to construct a three-dimensional form that will keep a hard boiled egg from breaking at an elevation of 5 to 10 feet to a concrete surface. We are allowed to used as many toothpicks necessary, however hot glue should be limited to about 10 percent of the structure.
For this assignment, I took inspiration in geometric shapes. I had many different ideas ranging from spirals, to different geometric shapes, something that looks aesthetically pleasing but also has the chance to protect the egg. In the end, the toothpick design was very flawed as it was too tight knit and hard. Aiming for something that lessens the fall significantly would have given the egg more of a chance to survive the fall.
