Mediums: Black Pen
This is part two of our Contour Project.
On this page, we continue to follow the process of contour. However, this time we will be using still life objects that were scattered around out home. The aim was to use five different objects that differ in shapes and size, all being within ten inches or less. Just like the first assignment, we followed the same steps, the semi blind, blind and less dominant hand.
As we grew more comfortable from the first part, I personally felt rather nervous as these were hard lined shapes. Unlike our hands which would be fine to have a few shaky lines, these were items like dumbbells or a cup that have a straight clean edge to them. As shown within these attempts, my nervousness began to show very frequently in my lines. My eyes continued to outline the edges of each item, my hand following along very nervously. The gaming mouse ended up as my favorite out of the rest, for some reason the amount of detail in it felt better to work with as there wasn’t so much open space between each one.
