Starting the creepy crawly project was new for me. I never worked with wire and found the material frustrating to work with. I wanted the picture I drew to be a jumping base for starting the project. Bending and maneuvering the wire into shapes was difficult but I enjoyed the challenge this material presented. The weaving techniques videos shown on icollege were helpful in sculpting they head and wings. There were a lot of trials and errors with this project especially with connecting the individual piece into one.
Overall, I found this project to be interesting and it helped use different materials I would not have thought to use. Getting to use wire for the first time had its challenges but I think my sculpture came together in the end. If I had to do this project again, I would need sometime before starting to practice with the wire to get a gage on how I would sculpt with it.
