Prompts

Prompt 1:

YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL DESTROYS YOUR NIGHTMARE

Sugar, spice, and everything nice! I had fun doing this prompt. My spirit animal is a deer and one of my worst nightmares is drowning in the depths of space. It’s always a fear within me. A deer being my spirit animal is simplistic and very me. Their quick with things, have great intuitions. So basically the deer is reaching its antlers out in order for the hand to grab it and get back to safety. I used mainly spice from kitchen such as garlic powder, worcheshire sauce, pepper vanilla extract, and few more things.

Prompt 2:

Self Portrait Collage

Ok initially i dislike this project! I’ve been taking art since elementary school all the way to college and we always have a self portrait project. Don’t get me wrong i understand the fundamentals around doing a self portrait i just feel like there’s more things to explore. But anyway this portrait was inspired by color, creativity, and how i feel as if im from planet mars sometimes. I like using funky colors to express me and myself because i hate feeling bound to just one thing. I like alot of things, music, cultures, hobbies and i feel like this self portrait represents that.

Prompt 3:

Natural Materials

So i’ve done this project before my first year in college. I’ve also seen the Rivers and Tides. So i went in my backyard not knowing what to do honestly. Most of my back yard is woods and since it’s still winter time almost everything is dead looking so that was hard to work with, and there’s pretty much pine trees and pine cones and sticks everywhere. Im not a big outside person either so i was scratching my head mostly on what to do. So i pretty much started without an idea and after a few things i came up with this…. It reminds me of a flower or a dandelion when it blooms.

Prompt 4:

Hodgepodge of ‘Failures’

            1.  I don’t see anything as perfect and i don’t expect myself or anybody of art to be perfect. My opinion on perfectionism is that it’s overrated for the people that do seek perfection. If everything was perfect we wouldn’t be living in this imperfect world right now and life would be boring. Not even the richest people in the world lives are perfect and i’m sure they can vouch for that themselves. When it come to art no human face is perfect not every limb is proportioned right it’s just the way of the world. Van Gogh art was seen as imperfect before and now he’s known around the world. Humans were given the opportunity to be imperfect for a reason.  2.I thinks its okay to fear the unknown! Sometimes we have to push ourselves as artist to try new things. Myself for an example, my fear is realism, anatomy, and surrounds (living rooms, kitchen, etc.) Does that make what i draw personally bad? No! Im still working over it and working on just doing it. When it comes to art and fear, i say try it! Right now i’m in a stage where my medium has become paint and i use to fear paint and especially painting people! I 3. I drew what i drew because i wanted to sketch and work on my  personal style and to have fun!
