Quiet Piece

Additive drawing of a small ghost statue on top of a restaurant bag

Ghost/ 2022

This project was one we did at home where we had to pick one object that made us feel quiet and then additively put it onto the page. Additive art is when you sketch lines onto the page without erasing anything. I chose to draw my little ghost statue my friend have given me. I put the little ghost on top of one of my work bags to give the drawing more values to work with. The hardest part of this piece had to be the lettering since we couldn’t exactly write the letter in.

Additive Recycled Beings

Recycled Beings/ 2022

For this project we first had to create our recycled beings out of random objects we brought in. We didn’t have to make people exactly, but I decided to make a dancing pair for my piece. After we finished sculpting, we then had to use the additive process to put our ideas to paper. The additive process can be defined as placing a series of lines on a piece of paper. Your goal is to just continuously add to the piece without having to erase anything. This project was such a joy to work on. The additive process was probably one of the easier techniques we have used throughout the year.
