My BIO 2025

Joyce El-Amin, 1950

Art has always been my passion. While I married, raised a family, and built a career as a retail store manager, my love for creativity never wavered. I have expressed this passion through color, crafts, and watercolor paintings, focusing on floral subjects. To refine my skills, I enrolled in watercolor classes in the Metro Atlanta, centers like Spruill, Callanwolde, and Hudgens. Now, as an art student at GSU, I am pursuing my dream of inspiring others through my work. I have exhibited in three Student Art Shows, earning the Castro Memorial Award (2022) for Aruba’s Flower (watercolor), the Blick Merit Award (2023) for Functional Tabletop and the Binders Mixed Media Award, (2025) for The Elements of Love. My work was also featured in Figuring It Out (2023) at UUCA.
