The 10 ways project challenged students to create 10 paper sculptures out of 8 1/2″ x 11″ office paper. Students could make sculptures based on objects/scenes or make abstract pieces. After all the sculptures are finished, students took pictures of each of the sculptures in various angles and lighting. The goal of the lighting was to cast interesting shadows that enhanced the overall sculpture. Then students had to print out the pictures to make individual pages in the sketchbook displaying their sculptures. The sketchbook pages had to be decorated with your choice of media. There had to be a description of your process and inspiration. After making the sketchbook pages, students used voice thread to talk about their sculptures and comment on other classmates’ projects.
