Technology has assisted African countries to move closer toward sustainable development more efficiently. Accessibility has always been a challenge for educational technology, however now that Africa has their hands on it, it’s been nothing but progress that should be celebrated, according to Antonio Pedro (UNECA). Apparently, there is still a need for way more progress than what has been made. Some recommendations to help Africa move closer to sustainable development include a commitment “to strong, proactive and responsible governance frameworks based on a long-term vision and leadership, shared norms and values; and rules and institutions that build trust and cohesion” (UNECA).
