Project IV. PROMPTS

NATURAL MATERIALS

For prompt# three, I went to my front yard and decided to pick out the wood from the stump in the front of my house. The next thing I did since it was fall took a rake and rake up the leaves near the stumps to clear A path. While doing this and I felt that I could make a circle with The leaves and then kick out some leaves on the inside to direct them towards the stump. The stump already had soft Driftwood in it from the rain so I just stepped on it a little crushed it and then put dry wood on top of it. there are living creatures inside of the stump so I decided not to disturb it too much so I just put some leaves over it to make it look like it’s coming out. my initial idea was to make an eye from it but I like the whole ring of fall rings around the stamp image.

I decided to do two images because I couldn’t decide which one was good enough so for my second one there are two other stumps in the back of my house and there’s were these long twigs hanging from a tree so I ripped off the branches that were already on the floor and put them around the stump. And since my dad left some of his supplies out there I took some of the metal that was already pressed into the ground and put it near the stump I don’t know if you can see it in the photo and then I took some other metals around the back of the house cause they were found in nature. And I sort of made a thorn ring around it with different metals hanging off of it I took a picture of it at a different angle because I thought it didn’t look good when photographed from above so took a lower angle picture. I really like my second idea better than my first but I worked hard on them equally
