Spotify for Artists provides users with an immersive experience where they can navigate their way through different areas of the platform hearing from and connecting with other artists about beneficial resources that can help further their musical careers. This site has a clear distinction of their targeted audience.

I find it interesting how the site has equipped users with the ability to explore the different communities such as podcasters, developers, and investors finding their niche to gain the best knowledge and insight about their role. Spotify’s brand identity has distinguished itself from other music streaming platforms like Apple Music. Although the typeface is very traditional, the logo has a uniqueness that is defiant in which frequent users are instantly familiar with the site and its purposes. Spotify’s brand identity aligns well with its aesthetic on the site. There are many images that showcase the musical presence of the site with different shots of musicians across all genres performing or even adding some visual aesthetic to their music in various artistic ways.

For the sake of the site, the “Connect with fans” category is encapsulated with visuals that establish a collaborative space where artists can give background about their artistic approach toward songs, establish their artist profile, and express their creativity in the best way that represents their artistry. As I was examining this website, there is a consistency with the typeface and overall layout of the page. The contrast of the black background with the white font across the page helps users locate and pinpoint the emphasis of different concentrated areas in the site and its content. It allows users to draw their focus to other associated content that lets them research further into more extensive readings of the content that is displayed on the site.

The boldness of the font allows for the major headings like clips, canvas, and the countdown pages to serve as a guide for users to learn more about features of the content that is provided and a more detailed designed guide layout of its creative process with links to articles and other content.

I think this website is designed more asymmetrically with its scattered visual orientation and because there is a cohesive balance of headings and descriptions of content, the content is accessibly ready for its users while presenting information that grabs the attention of the artists quickly. Of course, the auditory element of the site immerses its audience even more. Artists can engage in hearing other artists’ work and their testimony about their artistic journey and authenticity.
