Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Funded GSU Clinical Psychology Training Fellowships: TIPPS and EPIC-CARES
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded Training in Integrated Pediatric Psychology Services (TIPPS) and Educating Psychologists in Innovative Care: Child and Adolescents Research and Empirical Services (EPIC-CARES) projects provide specialized training to students in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Georgia in conducting culturally-sensitive, evidence-based practice with youth in the context of integrated, interdisciplinary, team-based care and tele-behavioral health, with the specific focus of masterting behavioral pain management and opioid use disorder and substance use disorder prevention and treatment, and serving people in hard to reach places. The TIPPS and EPIC-CARES projects are managed by managed by Drs. Cohen (Project Director), Tully (Experiential Site Coordinator), Swartout (Project Evaluation Coordinator), and McKee (Experiential Site Coordinator). TIPPS and EPIC Cares are run in partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Emory Brain Health Center (EBHC), Grady Health Systems (Grady), the Atlanta VA Health Care System (VA), Marcus Autism Center (MAC), and Virtually Better Inc.
