This project taught me important lessons about composition and strengthened my creative confidence. I combined the bold color work of Derrick O’Boateng with the dynamic still life compositions of Jan Groover, drawing inspiration from both artists to shape my vision. I also incorporated ceramic pots I had made last semester and plants from my garden to create a more personal and cohesive setting. I hope these images will serve as strong references for my future painting projects and help guide the direction of my creative work. Through this project, I want viewers to experience a moment of awe and feel a shift in mood, moving between excitement and calmness as they engage with my photographs. This final project, with its strong composition, vibrant color, and quiet yet powerful presence, represents the best work I have created this semester.
