Dr. Henary received his Bachelors of Science degree in Alexandria, Egypt and continued his education in Cairo, Egypt where he obtained his Masters of Science in Chemistry. He then moved to the United States, where he received his PhD from Georgia State University under the direction of Professor Lucjan Strekowski. Dr. Henary worked as a Postdoctoral Associate with Dr. Christoph Fahrni at Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2007, Dr. Henary was appointed Lecturer at Georgia State University, instructing Undergraduate Organic Chemistry classes and labs. In 2011, Dr. Henary accepted a position as Assistant Professor at Georgia State University. Since his appointment, Dr. Henary has initiated multiple projects and collaborations for developing therapeutics and diagnostics. He is currently an Associate Professor and Acting Associate Chair at the chemistry department.
