1.) There are fonts other than Times New Roman that are useful and acceptable in PowerPoint presentations. I was taught to only use Times New Roman for professional correspondence and also college papers. In the presentation tips from Garr Reynolds, he suggests using San-serif fonts for PowerPoint presentations. In fact, he uses Gill Sans because it is professional and also friendly.
2.) Garr Reynolds also suggests avoiding use of the PowerPoint clip art and other things included in the software because the audience most likely has seen all of these things many times before.
3.) The TedBlog suggests using masking to draw attention to key points in a photograph. Before seeing this example, I would have not used the photograph at all.
