If you have ever had the opportunity to visit an archival repository, you will be aware that the temperature is set for the protection of the collections rather than the comfort of employees. As a result, we archivists are always looking for ways to keep ourselves warm. Some of our coverings are more fashionable than others. For this first issue, I present my most fashionable clothing item: my first pair of wrist warmers. The inspiration for these warmers was Claire Randall’s wardrobe in the T.V. series, Outlander, and they were lovingly knitted for me by Leola Reis. My archivist friends hope that Leola will establish a line of these wrist warmers, available for purchase online!
