The man in the striped shirt

When i first saw this picture in D2 I personally was reminded of the striped pajamas that people in concentration camps in nazi Germany wore, and I interpreted this image as emphasizing the many similarities between nazi Germany and the military junta of Argentina. As it says in Nunca Mas, there were large amounts of anti-semitism within the detention centers in Argentina and around 20% of people in the detention centers were jewish. Jewish prisoners were subjected to things such as swastikas being drawn on them. Many people died within these detention centers in Argentina just like in concentration camps in Germany. To me, this image shows how history easily repeats itself and that atrocities can build off of old issues.
