Well, today is the official “due date” for this project in my class.  Overall I was excited about this project but have been disappointed in the response from social media.  I have had several people message me or respond to my posts stating that “this is great” and “I’m going to donate”, but then… nothing.  I  am meeting this weekend with a friend to go through her children’s books so, hopefully, we will find some in good enough condition to send.  I realize that 50 books donated seems like a lofty goal, but I don’t believe that 50 is anything more than a good start.  Nevertheless, I am committed to honoring my goal of 50 books even if it’s just me sending them.  Cheers everyone!
